Description:
To mark its 100th anniversary, the McCord Museum will present a major exhibition in the summer of 2021 on Alexander Henderson, the first Canadian landscape photographer. The McCord Museum holds the most comprehensive collection of photographs by Henderson (1831–1913), with over a thousand artifacts and archival records. Based on the museum’s collection, research work and restored works, a temporary exhibition will be mounted to showcase Henderson’s signature work to the general public.

Expected Results:

With this exposition, the museum hopes to welcome 60,000 indoor visitors. The success of this project will be measured by overall visitation, and also by the scope and depth of press reviews, interactions observed on digital platforms and satisfaction surveys conducted by the Museum's team.
