Description:
The Canadian National Exhibition Foundation (CNEF), in partnership with the Canadian Heritage Photography Foundation (CHPF), aims to digitize 8,000 at-risk photographic negatives from the CNE archival collection.
The negatives will be rehoused by CNE archival staff in preparation for digitization. Once these images have been delivered to the archiving team at CHPF, they will be digitized. CHPF has successfully digitized more than 12,000 images through three consecutive projects funded by the Documentary Heritage Communities Program (DHCP). Once the images have been digitized and the accompanying metadata has been added, they will be uploaded to both the CHPF Digital Collections website and the CNE front-facing website and searchable database.

Library and Archives Canada
Expected Results:
CNEF will target 100% of scans saved and 100% of images loaded into CMS Software. In addition, we would like to promote the Alexandra Studio collection and increase the social media following and website visits for both foundations.
