Description:
The goal is to continue the work started in phase 1 of this project, which was to digitize as many videocassettes as possible (in Beta and VHS formats, for which the copyright and the reproduction rights have been assigned to the SHSB), in order to preserve them for the future. The SHSB archivist identified approximately 567 videocassettes to be digitized, for a total of approximately 918 hours of recordings.

Expected Results:
The short-term results are the digitization of a second lot of 180 video recordings (for a total of two-thirds of the videos identified in phase 1) so as to increase the accessibility and improve the preservation of the originals. The long-term results are increased viewership and greater collaboration for the production of derivatives, such as educational tools, exhibits, virtual publications and special events (including commemorations, anniversaries and festivals), in the years to come.
