The project will focus on digitizing the VHS and audiocassette archives of Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation Language and History Department’s oral histories, training, cataloguing and translation.

Digitization of the historical collection of audiocassettes—200 to 400 audiocassettes representing approximately 300 hours of recordings

Creation of digitized copies of the historical collection of 400 to 500 VHS cassettes, representing approximately 500 hours of recordings

Cataloguing of digitized copies of the historical collection of audio and video cassettes and with support from translators and Elders, the archive assistant will catalogue 600 to 900 hours of digitized audio and video archives
