Description:
With its project “Sharing 10,000 years of history, the Atanukana by Charles-Api Bellefleur,” the organization wishes to capture, disseminate and preserve a complete repertoire of traditional Innu tales (the Atanukana), as told by the traditional storyteller Charles-Api Bellefleur, but also by his father and grandfather before him. There is no denying that the Atanukana have a pivotal heritage value for the Innu and that they carry a thousand years of priceless knowledge.

Expected Results:
In the short-term, this project will result in the production of 11 high-quality, accessible format recordings that will be made available to the Innu Nation and to the global commons. Each phase of the project is designed to meet this objective.
