The Winnipeg Architecture Foundation Archives Phase 3 project relates to four fonds in the Winnipeg Architecture Foundation (WAF) collection. The main objectives of the project are to increase access, better preserve originals, and inform WAF’s research and public programmes. The fonds all contain materials that document Manitoba’s built heritage. The project closely aligns with the Foundation’s mandate to advance awareness and appreciation of Winnipeg’s built environment.

The short-term results of the Winnipeg Architecture Foundation Archives Phase 3 project include completing all tasks as outlined in the project timeline. This involves having a finding aid for each fonds as well as proper storage of the material, including digital surrogates. The findings aids and digitized material will increase access to the collection, both in the short term and long term. The project will also result in a more secure, long-term preservation of the collection.
