Description:
The "Historic Pinnguaq Lifecycle Collection" is a project designed to highlight success stories in S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) from Rural, Remote and Indigenous Communities served by the Pinnguaq Association. Specifically through Nunavut, the Kawartha Lakes and Curve Lake First Nation. It will serve as a template and launching point for future growth. The project will create an online and in-person exhibit focused on 3-5 success stories from the gaming, software and science industries

Expected Results:
The project's short-term results will focus on awareness building and preservation of the work of champions from the communities of focus on science and technology. Long-term results will expand upon that and combine with the rest of the Pinnguaq lifecycle, including Pinnguaq's educational offerings. This will increase diverse participation in the technology and science sectors from people in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities. Additionally, the historical contributions of the participants of our programs will be preserved both online and in person - creating a living record of the communities history on the national stage.
