Description:
Our current project is a continuation of the work done during Cheslatta Carrier Nation's earlier digitization efforts. Through Library and Archives Canada's Listen, Hear Our Voices initiative, those efforts successfully digitized 185 VHS tapes, 82 cassettes, 713 historical maps, 1 452 photographs, and over 82 000 pages of archival documents. The continued digitization of this collection will help ensure the sustainability of Cheslatta peoples' oral and written history, as well as the documented relationship we have with our land.

Expected Results:

At least 100 cassette and VHS tapes, 50 maps, 30 boxes of documents, and several boxes of photographs will be packaged and transported for third-party digitization

Purchase of a photograph scanner to digitize several hundred historical photographs on site

All materials sent off-site for digitization will be catalogued
