Description:
The Cegertec Fonds contains original plans for work carried out in the private and public sectors between 1945 and 2010 in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region and elsewhere in Quebec. It includes approximately 5,500 projects in various domains. The project involves evaluating and sorting documents, cleaning them, replacing containers and filing them in their original order. In addition, the web portal will be able to distribute the descriptions and provide free training on the use of digital search tools.

Expected Results:
The key expected results in terms of archives are the following: increased accessibility to documents of historical value; compliance of descriptions with RADs; space savings; ability to move documents securely; improved preservation of documents in long-term storage; and improved staff skills with respect to RADs, computers and databases. In terms of mediation: making it easier for the public to use the online research portal through training courses and webinars; raising public awareness of archives, and promoting regional and national heritage.
