Description:
This project aims at appraising and describing 2,000 AV materials and digitizing and making available 600 sound and audio-visual recordings documenting Canada’s architectural heritage. These materials, which are unique and of national historical significance, are currently inaccessible to the public in addition to being vulnerable to physical deterioration and technological obsolescence.

Expected Results:

It is expected that, thanks to this project, the CCA will, in the short-term create a complete inventory of the CCA’s audiovisual material.The CCA will also produce 2,000 descriptions and digitize 600 AV materials and gain intellectual control of its audiovisual assets. In the long-term, this project will enable the CCA to better respond to the researchers’ queries. It will also increase the number of consultations for these holdings and stimulate research based on the CCA Canadian holdings.
