Description:
This project will ensure the preservation and accessibility of records added to the Stó:lo Library and Archives - thereby increasing access to, and awareness of, the history of the Stó:lo Nation, an organization of Stó:lo communities which has its roots in several forerunner organizations focused on Stó:lo governance and rights and title, including participation in the modern treaty process, dating back to the 1970s.

Expected Results:
Expected results of the project are improved storage conditions and improved finding aids for this large accession. Short-term results are that records will have their storage conditions improved to prevent further decay of the records, and that improved finding aids will increase the accessibility of the entire accession. Long-term results are the addition of this important body of Stó:lo Nation/Stó:lo Service Agency records to the documentary heritage of Stó:lo communities.
