Description:
The key activities are transcribing the recordings and working with fluent hul'q'umi'num' speaking Elders to translate and verify accuracy. There are 830 recordings created by a respected SFN Elder during her decades teaching hul'q'umi'num' to community members. The collection was donated in 2020. Many of these lessons included teachings from other community Elders - most of which have now passed.

Expected Results:
In the short-term the expected results for this proposed project include the completion of approximately 50 accurate and verified transcriptions and translations of digital recordings in our holdings. Long-term results will be the making these transcripts and translations available to Stz'uminus community members to support well-being, language revitalization and cultural protection.
