The BC Forest Discovery Centre (BCFDC) is custodian to a large collection of maps, blueprints, plans, and large-format photos that the organization proposes to create digital copies of in order to increase their accessibility and utility to information seekers visiting the museum as well as the broader community it serves.

Successful digitization of 1,300 large-format documents (maps, blueprints, etc.) at 600 dpi. Creation of a searchable online database with high-resolution JPG previews. Establishment of improved storage conditions for the physical documents.

Enhanced accessibility for researchers and the public. Increased engagement with the collection through online exhibits and educational resources. Improved preservation of valuable historical documents. Enhanced capacity to accept new donations. Strengthened the museum's reputation as a leader in digital preservation and access.
