Description:

The goal of the project is to preserve and protect the historical archives stored at the Prud’homme museum. The activities: the development of an acquisition policy and procedures/standards for archiving; the assessment of relevance, classification, and description of archives; the digitization of essential archives; and the proper packaging and preservation of archives.

Expected Results:

In the short term, the project will allow the museum to respond to information requests, promote the richness of the collection, and share local history with the public. In the long term, the project will support the goal of the museum’s board of directors of protecting the collection, even in the event that the museum can no longer be supported by the community.
