This project aims to digitize oral history recordings presenting the heritage of the English-speaking communities of the Eastern Townships from at-risk media formats, to transcribe them, and to make them available to the public through the organization's online database.

Expected Results:
In the short-term, this project will increase the public's awareness of these rich documentary heritage sources by making archival descriptions of the oral histories available through the ETRC's online database. In the long-term, the preservation-quality digitization of the oral histories from at-risk formats will ensure that this irreplaceable information is not lost.
