The project seeks to develop new technology to compare and analyze footwear impressions. It is also planned to develop new ridge tracing technology for improved friction ridge comparison. The project also seeks to develop new features and filters to allow a finger/palm print matching system to search a gallery size 100 times, larger than previously, with appropriate speed and accuracy for operational use by police.
