Title:
Study of cold spray adhesion mechanisms for the development of high performance protective coatings
Agreement Number:
925208
Agreement Value:
$25,000.00
Agreement Date:
Mar 15, 2019 - Mar 31, 2020
Description:
The effects of aluminum feedstock powder characteristics on cold spray (CS) coating adhesion on steel surfaces will be identified for the first time. It will lead to improvement in the fundamental understanding of the buildup mechanisms at the origin of CS deposition in order to optimise the CS coating adhesion properties.
Organization:
National Research Council Canada
Expected Results:

In the short term, anticipated outcomes will be strengthened collaborations across industry, academia, and government to support research excellence. In the medium term, anticipated outcomes will be the development of new and potentially disruptive technologies with collaborators.
