Hybrid Laser-Arc Welding of Cobalt-Based Superalloys
Agreement Number:
925998
Agreement Value:
$25,000.00
Agreement Date:
Mar 15, 2019 - Mar 31, 2020
Description:
This project is aimed to explore the possibility of reducing or avoiding cracking susceptibility by using hybrid laser-arc welding processes and thus improve the weldability and repairability of new y' precipitate-strengthened Cobalt-based superalloys. The results will benefit the welding and remanufacturing of engine components for aerospace and power generation applications.
