Description:
MesoMat Inc. is an advanced materials development company focusing on polymer based electrically conductive fibers and yarns. The fibers can be used as sensors which can be integrated into composite materials for sensing the integrity of materials under heavy use. Such “structural health monitoring” systems have the benefit of being able to reduce material waste, make structural components more light weight, and provide an early warning system for failure, fracture and fatigue. In addition to these environmental and societal benefits, MesoMat fibers are produced using green coating technologies.
