As much as 40 percent of the total waste comes from construction projects, which produce a surplus of unused building material.Renovations of old heritage building without accurate documentation often result in huge waste in construction. Reducing waste is a big factor in increasing suitability in the construction sector. Documenting the existing building accurately will ensure architects and contractors to simulate, plan and test the construction digitally before start the construction , hence reducing the guessing and wasteful decision. PARTISANS currently is engaged in renovating number of old heritage buildings in Toronto. We have decided to use 3d laser measurement over the traditional ways, to ensure we would capture all the data
