Title:
Green Youth (2): Development of Combined Time-domain and Frequency-Domain Analysis Technique and Software for Torsional Vibration Control of Reciprocating Compressor Packages in Oil and Gas Industry
Agreement Number:
921116
Agreement Value:
$20,000.00
Agreement Date:
Feb 1, 2019 - Jul 31, 2019
Description:
Torsional Vibration Analysis (TVA) and control is critical to ensure the safe operation of reciprocating compressor packages in oil and gas industry. The current analysis software uses either time-domain or frequency-domain technique alone which is not capable of capturing the complete characteristics of torsional vibration and developing effective vibration control design for compressor packages. This project aims at developing an effective TVA methodologies that combines both time-domain and frequency-domain analysis techniques and incorporates the effect of potential lateral vibration of compressors. A TVA software will be developed based on the achieved analysis techniques to conduct TVA to ensure a safe torsional system.
