Description:
improving and developing a new BEST assay (Biofilm Eradication Surface Testing) for testing of antimicrobial coating on medical devices specifically catheters and stents (urinary, venous, endotracheal,...etc.). This will allow the intraluminal conditioning of the device to be done concurrently with the extraluminal conditioning which is one step closer to clinical setting in hospitals. The new BEST assay will be used in an independent validation testing for coated medical devices before it gets the approval from FDA.
