Title:
Quantification of golf club – hitting surface interface mechanics to optimize and improve synthetic golf surfaces.
Agreement Number:

Agreement Value:
$50,000.00
Agreement Date:
Feb 1, 2019 - Oct 31, 2019
Description:
This project aims to develop a method to quantifiably describe the interaction between swung golf clubs and various synthetic hitting mat surfaces. Once a measurement method is established it will be used as a tool to develop new synthetic hitting surfaces that have a more realistic ‘feel’ – more closely mimicking real grass and the experience of playing golf on a real outdoor surface.
