Description:
CIIP Korea project with IVD LAB CO., LTD. In this two-year project, we will develop and verify a prototype lateral flow immunoassay (LFI) diagnostic test to rapidly detect (<25 min) a novel host biomarker of sepsis in whole blood, in order to help guide the triage and management of patients with life threatening infection. The test will be suitable to be performed by non-laboratory personnel in emergency departments, intensive care units, and physician offices, globally. Clinical performance of the test will exceed that of the commercial reference standard procalcitonin (PCT) host biomarker test.
