Description:
AEI has invented: (1) use of lime (CaO) as additives (i) bitumen extraction from ore-water slurry based systems; (ii) whole tailings treatment before cyclones or direct deposition; (iii) nonsegregating tailings (NST) production; and dewatering of exiting mature fluid fine tailings (FFT) inventory; and, (2) use of biodiesel (BD) as surfactant additives to improve the efficiency of: (i) SAGD, CSS and HCSS processes by injecting liquid BD with steam; (ii) CHOPS, Post CHOPS, heavy oil and tertiary oil recovery processes by BD-water emulsions flooding; (iii) extra heavy oil and bitumen recovery from high permeability and fractured reservoirs by BD-solvent-water emulsions flooding methods. AEI is seeking oil industry interest for field trials.
