Youth: Techno-economic analysis of methane mitigation strategies in the upstream oil & gas sector
Agreement Number:
928487
Agreement Value:
$20,000.00
Agreement Date:
May 16, 2019 - Dec 31, 2019
Description:
In order to assist the upstream oil & gas sector (UOG) in reducing greenhouse gas emissions a project has been launched where Process Ecology will develop a software tool that will apply high level rules and industry knowledge to create an emissions profile for the UOG such that individual emissions sources can be identified and quantified. The emissions profile for all the sources involved would then be the basis to perform techno economic analyses for various mitigation strategies. The tool would facilitate the determination of the technical and economic feasibility of implementation of these strategies and generate marginal abatement cost curves for the various strategies.
