Description:

A cloud-based software solution that allows first responders to maintain and access pre-incident maps and resource data from anywhere will be built as part of this project. The solution will have 3 major components: (i) a system that automatically digitizes different types of source maps into vector maps using machine learning algorithms, (ii) an annotation system that automatically recognizes key points of interests (e.g. fire hydrant, gas shutoffs, etc), and (iii) an export system that presents the mapping and annotation data in a standardized format, consumable in external systems, such as outdoor GIS systems.
