Description:
Swidget has relied on a third-party R&D contractor to date, to perform key technical tasks (hardware & software development) relating to its suite of IoT enabled products. As the company transitions from simpler Wi-Fi enabled products to more multi-functional sensors and devices, it aims to develop these technologies and interfaces in house. One major area of development will be artificial Intelligence – building a framework around the planned suite of Swidget sensors. Current plans for AI are two-fold: non-intrusively baselining behavior patterns in elder-care facilities to serve to inform caregivers, and secondly, in the areas of power management, to reduce the usage of vampire power in home and office applications.
