Description:
The total CO2 emission from the global construction sector is about 23% of the total CO2 emissions produced. Over 30% of the construction materials end up as waste in the landfills and these landfills account ~15% of emissions resulting in massive environmental problems. Hence there is a strong need to reduce the carbon footprint mainly in the developed countries (G7) & in the emerging markets (Brazil, India, & China). Hence this project to provide an Internet based platform for reducing carbon footprint of the construction sector.
