Description:

The emerging clean meat market is gaining considerable traction as consumers are increasingly making food choices based on ethical and environmental concerns. Plant-based meat producers already have products on sale in grocery stores and fast food chains nationwide. In addition, companies developing lab grown meat utilizing animal cells are raising significant investments and are expected to enter the marketplace in the coming years. Spiderwort is a biomaterials company which has developed novel plant-based materials for numerous high value applications, including for the development of clean meat. The goal of this project is to further refine the processes for developing plant based clean meat from a regulatory perspective.
