Through the Canada-Germany collaborative industrial R&D program (NRC IRAP - ZIM) the Institute for Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen University (ITA) and ITP GmbH (ITP) of Germany will work with Applied Quantum Materials (AQM) of Canada to develop quantum dot containing polymer optical fibers with sensing properties for the smart textile industry and applications such as sensing gloves and personal protective equipment.
