Title:
SPL-MIX: Enhancing Industrial Liquid Processing Through Intelligent Pipeline Mixing
Agreement Number:
952826
Agreement Value:
$52,755.00
Agreement Date:
Jun 30, 2020 - Mar 31, 2022
Description:
In-line mixing is proposed as a method to improve efficiency for many
industrial mixing processes. Currently used on a limited scale, this project
aims to advance the understanding of in-line mixing by characterizing in-line measurement methods. The project is planned as a tight combination of experimental measurements, numerical simulations, and implementation of artificial ntelligence and machine learning. The research group at the University of Alberta is responsible for the numerical contribution to the project.
Organization:
National Research Council Canada
Expected Results:
In the short term, anticipated outcomes will be strengthened collaborations across industry, academia, and government to support research excellence. In the medium term, anticipated outcomes will be the development of new and potentially disruptive technologies with collaborators. In the long term, find collaborative solutions to public policy challenges and create stronger innovation systems.
