Description:
The goal of the collaborative research Project is to benchmark the efficacy of an existing decision support system (DSS), developed by Memorial University, in terms of its capability to improve the performance of ship operations in pack ice. The DSS has been developed specifically to support an ice management task that is used in the offshore petroleum industry. This collaborative research Project will be part of a research program leveraging the expertise of Memorial University of Newfoundland and the NRC to tackle the multi-faceted challenge of designing, implementing, and evaluating a DSS.
