Description:

Germany ZIM project WATPHY with German partners Vanguard Automation and Fraunhofer to address the scaling needs of Data-Centres - components and processes will be developed for attaching laser diodes (LDs) and optical fibers to photonic integrate circuits (PICs). The processes will apply 3D-printed nano-optics (Photonic Wirebonds - PWBs). The processes will utilize separately bonded, burned-in and pre-tested lasers on micro-carriers for maximum post-attach yield.
