NRC is providing financial support based on SHAD's program, designed to help develop the next generation of STEM leaders and change makers. Their goal is to build a national pool of research excellence, encourage youth to contribute to the development of evidenced-based science policy, and ensure underrepresented groups take their place in STEM.

• tap into their full potential through the innovative month-long university-based Shad program.
• apply STEM disciplines to important economic and societal challenges.

• participate in immersive STEM learning modules and gain hands-on experience in the design, engineering and venture cycle.
• gain skills like resilience, inventiveness, communication, and teamwork that are crucial for success in their future workplaces.
