Agreement Date:
May 3, 2021 - Feb 28, 2022
Description:
The impacts of climate change are felt strongly in north; affecting ecosystems, sustainability of northern infrastructure, and the ways of life for northern Canadians. This drives a need for increased temporal monitoring of environment and infrastructure susceptible to climate change. Alietum is developing a manned-aircraft based system for mapping large scale survey areas in the north. The purpose of the proposed project is to develop a system for large scale aerial mapping using direct georeferencing. The success of this project will allow for high accuracy, repeatable large scale monitoring at a reduced cost to the end client, using equipment and processes tailored specifically for remote arctic locations.
