Title:
Strain sensing in performance rubber and plastic components
Agreement Number:
973506
Agreement Value:
$100,000.00
Agreement Date:
Jun 1, 2021 - Dec 31, 2021
Description:
MesoMat has developed a new form of material sensor, plastic based sensing fibres, which work in systems where traditional sensors fail, including performance rubbers and plastics. MesoMat is using this technology to develop a sensing platform for monitoring critical plastic/rubber components used in oil & gas and nuclear applications. In these applications, failures are catastrophic and therefore monitoring components to ensure correct installation and to help predict failure offers significant value for producers.
