Description:
eSonar Inc. is developing a low energy Variable Buoyancy Engine (VBE) to allow sub-sea instrumentation to be moored with an always taut subsurface float so as to present minimal risk to species at risk such as marine mammals. The new technology will have the capability to make water column measurements and then autonomously pop-up to surface under microprocessor control, and remotely report readings by local RF or to satellite for cloud-based access.
