Description:
AquaBounty Canada (ABC) is a pioneer in using modern genetics to enhance growth in the land-based farming (RAS) of Atlantic salmon. We operate three facilities in eastern PEI, growing fish to market size for food, conducting research trials, and raising broodstock fish for generation of eggs. AquaBounty currently relies on one commercial feed supplier for starter feed for their AquAdvantage salmon. Good quality starter diets are extremely important for early development. During this project, AquaBounty will be comparing their traditional starter feed to another commercially available starter feed to determine if it is a suitable candidate for their product.
