Title:
Optimization of fermentation process to economize scale-up productions of leaf aldehyde
Agreement Number:
981461
Agreement Value:
$50,000.00
Agreement Date:
Nov 1, 2021 - Jun 30, 2022
Description:
Through a series of bench-scale fermenter experiments with a new designer strain, the proposed fermentation optimization for leaf-aldehyde production based on our validated process will focus on reducing production cost. The support from NRC-IRAP for this project will help us lower the technical risk for large-scale (1,000 - 10,000L) process, unlock next milestone payment from a strategic investment from an industry partner, establish clear pathway to product commercialization, and boost Canadian bio-economy by developing HQPs and research partnership within Ardra and Verschuren Centre in Nova Scotia.
