Description:
Hedgehog NBMS™ (known as "Nimba") is a hardware and software solution placed between a customer's on-site battery energy storage and the utility substation. Nimba is a unique micro-level control solution to manage battery assets both from the customer and directly from the utility's operations centre. Powered by AI and using two-way communication, Nimba enables the utility to access additional energy stored in the batteries and offload the demands of the substation. After a successful R&D development, the field trial phase for the Nimba solution will be completed in coordination with BC Hydro.
