Title:
High-resolution off-axis parabola (HR-OAP)
Agreement Number:
984969
Agreement Value:
$70,000.00
Agreement Date:
Dec 1, 2021 - Nov 30, 2024
Description:
This goal of this applied research project is to design, built, test and assemble a complex high-resolution off-axis parabola (HR-OAP) to be used as a key component of the Small teams, Round 2 project led by AEP. The main challenge is to minimize the surface figure error and the surface roughness. The goal for the surface figure is λ/20 P-V @ 633 nm with a roughness of less than 5 Angstroms.
Organization:
National Research Council Canada
Expected Results:

In the short term, anticipated outcomes will be strengthened collaborations across industry, academia, and government to support research excellence. In the medium term, anticipated outcomes will be the development of new and potentially disruptive technologies with collaborators. In the long term, find collaborative solutions to public policy challenges and create stronger innovation systems.
