Title:
Nanofabrication of SiN quantum photonic chip components
Agreement Value:
$135,996.00
Agreement Date:
Jan 31, 2022 - Jan 31, 2025
Description:
This project will develop nanofabrication technology required for the quantum photonic components of the Small Teams Ideation fund project “Quantum Photonic Integrated Circuits for Quantum Interconnects”. Several fabrication runs per year will be performed to develop and verify the nanofabrication technology for producing chips with SiN waveguide components designed by NRC and the Small Team project partners. The components will be characterized by NRC with support other project partners.
Organization:
National Research Council Canada
Expected Results:
In the short term, anticipated outcomes will be strengthened collaborations across industry, academia, and government to support research excellence. In the medium term, anticipated outcomes will be the development of new and potentially disruptive technologies with collaborators. In the long term, find collaborative solutions to public policy challenges and create stronger innovation systems.
