Description:
The new engineering graduate will be trained in practical process engineering skills as applied to our Pulp / Green Chemistry projects. Areas of skills training will be:
- Process flow sheet development (M&E balances, software training)
- P&ID development and understanding
- Process safety (Hazop, relief study)
Technology areas that the graduate will work on will be:
- Tall oil processing from Western Canadian Kraft mills to create a renewable feedstock to a local oil refinery.
- Kraft lignin extraction and processing (LignoForce). Upcoming work will be engineering studies for potential lignin plants in Spain and Western Canada.
