We are developing and validating a surgical instrument using new laser technology to solve longstanding problems in the treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD). If we can eliminate the deleterious effects of debulking sclerotic tissue caused by current methods of mechanical or conventional laser treatment, we can provide better outcomes for patients and reduce the costs of treating this widespread disease.
