Description:

GNP has designed a gas sealing system suitable for containing pressurized gas in expanders and gas compressors. GNP's application for the gas seal system is for containing pressurized butane in the EXPANDER-175 system (a waste heat to power system designed to recover reject heat from natural gas compressor engines). The seal system has been: 1) dynamically shop tested using air at the expander OEM facility and 2) statically in the EXPANDER system, in combination with the lube oil system. The next step in confirming the successful operation of the seals is to run the EXPANDER system, using heat to run the system with pressurized butane, with the expander component rotating at full speed, under full pressure.
