Description:
In this project we will design new components and architectures for the future quantum internet, which promises applications such as quantum-secured communication and distributed quantum computing. In particular, we will design quantum memories that are suitable for deployment on-board satellites, and we will design terrestrial quantum network architectures that are more suitable for widespread use than current approaches.
