The aim of this project is to implement high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor control loops in a Silicon Carbide-based high-speed variable frequency drive. This technology should result in “clean power drives” producing a true sine wave output to significantly reduce industrial electrical motor wear and to improve system efficiency.
