Description:
This project will explore the production of biocarbon from organic waste inputs and the carbon sequestration potential of incorporating biocarbon into agriculture, sustainable construction, green infrastructure and other goods and processes. The Youth will gain experience in researching the production of biocarbon from organic waste inputs, the sequestration of biocarbon in stable places and products, the pre-processing of organic waste inputs (size reduction, moisture reduction), the carbonization of organic waste inputs through pyrolytic reaction, and the management, data collection and reporting of cleantech engineering projects.
