Lab Technician (Chemist)
Agreement Number:
1005731
Agreement Value:
$30,000.00
Agreement Date:
May 22, 2023 - May 21, 2024
Description:
The firm has achieved a minimum viable product (MVP) for the Actipack sheet in a batch process in the laboratory. They also scaled from producing small 2.5 x 2.5 cm samples to large sheets of 20 x 30 cm.
The next challenge is scaling up the active film production to a semi-automated continuous in-line process that will allow them to produce large quantities of film in a roll format. This step is critical to reach a commercially-viable product.
The lab technician (Chemist) will work with the existing team of scientists and engineers to:
1) optimize antibacterial formulation to reduce overall cost
2) adapt all chemical reactions for large scale in-line production
3) explore new chemistries to accelerate/simplify existing chemical processes
